Team Member Profile - Terry Hunstone, Technical Sales Co-ordinator

Terry has been working at ovesco for 3-1/2 years now in the role of Technical Sales Co-ordinator. The position is a customer liaison role whilst visiting the diverse customer base that we have. That base includes tray builders, camper/trailer builders, caravan builders, trailer manufacturers, etc…

The area that he physically visits is north to Kempsey, south to Canberra and west to Dubbo – however he is responsible for ½ of NSW and all of Victoria, ACT and Tasmania. Terry created our “Geographical Regional Market Base” that involves partnering with customers in outlying areas

around Australia. Terry spent 12 years working with Shell as an area manager looking after 15 outlets around Newcastle & the Hunter Valley so understands the needs of running a business and the demands that come with that.

With his extensive experience in the automotive industry (Terry has a trade background in panel beating & spray painting) he is able to offer hardware solutions to our customer base. Terry has always prided himself on working with our customers to help them find more cost effective and efficient ways for their products to get to market.

Terry is a mad keen football (call that soccer!) die-hard who has had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus!! He played in the State League for Stewart & Lloyd’s Newcastle Austral, Hamilton Olympic and Lake Macquarie – he made his name as a ferocious midfielder who never gave up. Since then he has turned his hand to coaching and has been involved for some 25 years now. One of his claims to success is helping 2 teams (Newcastle Football and Broadmeadow Magic U14’s) to undefeated seasons.

Fishing and camping are other passions that Terry holds dear – ask him about the bream he caught in the Hunter River off the Stockton break wall one day!!
